the "disco potato" is a Garret turbo GT28R designed specifically for the Nissan SR20DE(T) found in the sentra SE-R. the design i *think* has a T25 turbine and T28 compressor (ball bearing). it is said that it delivers 280whp/ 280 lb-ft torque (also to the wheels) on the sentra w/ virtually no lag, and response that follows throttle input changes (it's superbly linear for a turbo). the reason its called the "disco potato" is because of the paint and styling of the project car they used to develop the turbo - the Sentra SE-R, which was reminescent of the "disco" era. having said that, i'm not too sure as to how it will react with the VG30DE(TT). being that the SR20DE(T) is a 2.0 liter motor w/ a single turbocharger. now if you use two "disco potatoes" (one for each bank) that means it'll be a turbo for each 1.5 liter and three cylinders. it'd probably be best to check out the compressor maps and compare it w/ your needs.
